This custom wedding invitation was created for an Indian wedding. The bride wished to have a design that reflected her Indian heritage but remained contemporary at the same time. The text on the invitation and RSVP postcard were printed using a hand-mixed grey ink, while the feather design was printed with no ink using a blind emboss technique. Giving both pieces a very fresh and modern color pallet and a design that represented the Indian culture. These were printed on Crane’s Lettra pearl white, 100% cotton paper, using double thick 220 lb for the invitation and 110 lb stock for the postcard. The information insert was digitally printed on white, 28 lb vellum in turquoise and grey inks which provided the pop of color in the invitation package. The entire wedding package was enclosed in a stunning metallic turquoise envelope, which will surely stand out in the guests’ mail boxes.
